Making Learning Possible, Even in Treatment

Keeping the Joy of Learning Alive

For children undergoing cancer treatment, hospital stays often mean missed school and falling behind. The Reading Corner program helps young patients catch up, rebuild confidence, and thrive during their toughest times.

Located in St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, this program offers tailored, one-on-one reading instruction. A certified teacher meets with 2-4 children per day, three times a week, providing support tailored to each child’s grade level. These sessions not only build literacy but also restore confidence and hope.
